Bruce looked at me curiously. When he didn’t say a thing, I continued.
‘I want to stay here with you, forever. Not going back anymore!’

Bruce was surprised at my words and stared at me. It wasn’t the unfriendly stare, more like the concern stare. I knew Bruce so well that every twitch of his eyelids, I knew what he was thinking about.

‘Come on, Bruce! It’ll be fun! You and I, living together!’ I tried to convince him. Still, Bruce didn’t say a thing. I looked at him, slightly disappointed. He reached out his hands and touched my face. I looked at him, waiting for him to say something.
As I stared, his face started to fade away. I screamed and tried to reach out to him frantically. My hands seemed to close in on thin air and I could not find his face at all. I started to panic as his body started to fade away as well. By the time I see his legs disappearing, I was in a blind panic. I screamed!

I opened my eyes and saw my mum looking at me.

‘Bruce!’ I screamed. I was in tears by then.

‘He’s not here!’ I heard my mother say.
